  • Featured Tactile Sound Music CD

  • The newsletter will feature information on VAT research, music, frequencies and equipment. It will also look at different uses of vibroacoustics including, but not limited to, spa's, massage, physical, sound and music therapists. Every Newsletter will have a short article or interview with a therapist who uses a Tactile Sound Massage table in their work. The intent is to share ideas of how their rooms are set up, what music they use, etc. We have lined up a number of practitioners from around the globe who will be sharing information with the rest of the world. If you would also like to share with the group, please conact me by email. We will also be sharing information on VAT or Vibroacoustic Therapy. We will be using some of our own case studies as well as Olav Skille's (the Father of Vibroacoustics) and others who are working with VAT.

Q - Gail can you share some of the comments and reactions by your clients in regards to their sessions on the sound table?

A The main comment is in regards to the level of the relaxation no matter which of my modality treatments they receive. Comments such as, "I have never experienced that level of deep relaxation before" Also, what I noticed with my regular clients after they started receiving their massages on the sound table, were their comments getting off the table after the session. They went from saying things like, "thanks, that felt nice, or that felt good" to an expression of "Oh - that was wonderful."

Q - How has owning the sound table changed things for you?

A First off let me say, I am very happy to have the sound table; it is the best/wisest investment I have ever made in my business. One of the benefits I experience when giving massage is that I don't have to exert as much pressure. The clients "let go" and relax so much quicker and deeper, so it makes my part easier.

Q - What kind of set up do you have with your table?

A - I have my small stereo system set up so that the music plays through external speakers into the room as well as through the table.

Q - What is some of the favorite music you like to use with your sessions?

A - I use the Balance CD by Therasound and Liquid Mind IV - Unity CD by Chuck Wilde the most right now for massage. I personally enjoy Mickey Hart's Planet Drum - Supralingua and I also run Bob Dracht's Ultra Clear CD through the table in the room after a session.

Q - So you also use the table?

A - Yes, I myself use the table for my own healing and relaxation. I have found an inner peace and healing that has made buying the table just for my own healing totally worth it.

Q - Gail is there anything else you wish to share with us as we wrap up?

A - I increased my rates once I got my sound table. I was sure living in a spa town full of massage therapist, that I would have to really advertise the table to justify the rate increase. One of the nicest surprises I found was when word got out about the sound table my cliental base increased and I haven’t done the amount of advertising I thought I would. The word of mouth has been great. The table paid for itself in very little time.

Q - Gail thank you so much for your time and sharing with us today. You can reach Gail at the Spring of Life Healing Centre, Hot Springs, AR. 501 620 4622 or by email at gaillago@yahoo.com

A - My pleasure Stephen, and thank you again for all your work in this field.

    Vibroacoustic Therapy Case Study

    Inner Soulutions Case Study #07

A male client from the study has been disabled as a result of a serious vehicle accident that left him with fused vertebrae in his neck and lower back and extreme chronic pain. He experienced sensation in his legs, as a result of increased circulation, just after the first session. This continues to improve and has lead to an increase in his mobility and stamina. He too was pleased to notice that his emotional state has improved greatly and he no longer deals with depression. His main concern from his years of continuous pain has been the long-term effects of medication. With the pain decreasing after every session, he has found himself able to decrease his medication from 8 doses of Methocarbomal (muscle relaxers) daily to 5 and from 6 daily doses of Morphine Sulfate (for pain) to 4, and this was just after his third session. As of the 7th session, he had reduced the doses for both by half and remarked that he no longer watches the clock for his next dose. He completed our analog scale (1 – 10) questionnaire for pre and post session pain for each session. The initial session pain scale started at 8 (pre) and 4 (post). After 7 sessions the pain scales were normally 2 (pre) and 1 (post). Sessions utilized Frequency CDs played through the tactile sound table for 30 minutes per session while listening to Therasound’s Balance CD. He now talks about a future actively enjoying events with his family and eventually going back to work. These things have been out of reach for him during the last ten years.
